What a Midnight Airport Transfer Looks Like

Your Delhi Airport Chauffeur Service starts tracking your flight before you land. While you are somewhere over the Arabian Sea on a red-eye from the Gulf,  your chauffeur is watching for delays and gate changes — the kind of fifteen-minute pushback that shifts when you actually walk through immigration

at Delhi IGI international arrivals.

Most international flights at T3 land between 1 and 3 AM. Immigration, luggage belt, customs — on a quiet night, the walk takes forty-five minutes. On a Friday, with three Gulf carriers in the same hour, closer to sixty. Your chauffeur has run this airport transfer often enough to read the pattern and times the car to your customs clearance, not to the scheduled landing.

You walk out of Terminal 3 into January cold that catches you off guard after a climate-controlled cabin — 5°C, the car park lights blurred by fog. There is a name board with your surname and the Komyut logo below it. No queue at the prepaid taxi counter. No negotiating a fare.

Close to 80 million passengers move through Delhi airport each year. For a Komyut airport chauffeur service passenger, that walk from arrivals ends at an Innova Crysta already running with the AC on and a cold water bottle in the door pocket. Twenty minutes to Vasant Kunj at this hour — past the Mahipalpur hotels, onto Nelson Mandela Marg, the road empty enough that you notice how quiet the car is.

Your chauffeur mentions a coffee place near your hotel that opens at six and names the neighbourhood like someone who does this particular late-night airport transfer three times a week.

How Your Airport Pickup Works

Your airport transfer starts when your flight takes off. Komyut begins tracking your flight in real time from that point — not checking once and estimating, but watching for delays, gate holds, and the slow descent patterns that add twenty minutes nobody warns you about. If your flight is pushed back by thirty minutes or three hours, the pickup timing adjusts.

The gap between landing and walking out of arrivals is bigger than most passengers expect. Immigration and customs at Mumbai international typically run forty-five minutes to an hour. Bangalore is faster — twenty to thirty minutes on a quiet night through Terminal 2. Chennai varies depending on how

many flights land in the same window. Your chauffeur is timing the car to when you walk out, not when the aircraft touches down.

Every Indian airport runs its own pickup rules — where the car can stop, for how many minutes, what happens if it overstays. An airport chauffeur service depends on the chauffeur knowing the version at your terminal.

At Bangalore Kempegowda, the Terminal 2 arrivals curb gives you eight minutes free before overstay charges begin. Past eighteen minutes, the vehicle gets towed. Chauffeur-driven cars hold in P3 parking until the flight tracker says go. Your Komyut chauffeur pulls to the curb when you are clearing customs —

the airport pick up is timed to the flight, not to a guess. Delhi T3 international is a longer walk. The corridor from immigration to the exit runs past porters who grab trolleys before you say yes, name boards from

services you did not book, and the prepaid taxi counter — government-fixed rates, but a queue that grows every time Gulf flights cluster. Your Komyut chauffeur waits past the barrier with your name board visible. No counter. No queue.

The airport transfer from the exit doors to the car takes minutes. Mumbai CSMIA Terminal 2 works differently. Prepaid taxis require booking at the counter inside the hall, then an elevator ride to P4 for the car — a process that stretches when multiple flights have landed. The airport chauffeur service version is simpler. Airport meet and greet in the arrivals hall, luggage handled, and you are at the car on the ground transportation level before the P4 queue has moved.

Your luggage goes in the boot and an update with the route and ETA reaches you on WhatsApp before the car pulls out. There is a cold water bottle in the door pocket and the AC already running. What happens next depends on you. If you want the fastest route to your hotel at this hour, or a place nearby that opens early for breakfast, your Komyut chauffeur has done this airport transfer service often enough to answer from

experience. If you would rather close your eyes, nobody will start a conversation. The drive to your destination runs fifteen minutes or forty-five depending on the city and the hour.

International Arrivals: Your First Hour in India

An airport pickup in India for foreigners that starts before you land. For first-time India visitors, the airport arrival is the part of the trip that causes the most uncertainty, and the following sections explain what actually happens and how we handle each stage.

Before Your Trip

The afternoon before your flight, a WhatsApp message arrives from Komyut with the chauffeur's name, vehicle make, colour, and registration number, along with his direct phone number saved in the thread.

This matters more than it sounds. Your Indian SIM card, assuming you buy one at the airport kiosk, will not activate for thirty to sixty minutes after purchase. Airport Wi-Fi requires a two-minute registration wall and an Indian phone number you do not have yet.

So if your phone is not working when you walk out of arrivals, the one number you need is already sitting in your WhatsApp from before you boarded your flight in London, Sydney, or Dubai.

There is also the question of currency. The exchange counter past immigration charges roughly five hundred rupees more per hundred dollars than what your own bank gives you, and you can skip it entirely because your private airport transfer is already paid for. You do not need a single rupee until the following day, and by then your SIM will work and you can use UPI.

The Arrival

Your flight lands at Mumbai CSMIA Terminal 2 at quarter to two in the morning, delayed ninety minutes that nobody on the plane could do anything about. Immigration is thirty-five minutes of standing in a line that moves in surges.

The luggage belt runs at its own pace. By the time you push through the sliding arrivals door, it is almost three. The humidity is the first thing. It lands on your skin the moment the doors part, warm and heavy, the kind of air that sticks to your forearms and stays there. The arrivals hall at this hour is fluorescent-bright and loud  not with shouting, but with the low competing noise of a hundred pickups happening at once.

Name boards held at different heights by drivers standing three rows deep. You find yours in the second row. Your name, spelled right, the Komyut logo underneath. The airport meet and greet you set up over WhatsApp three days ago from your living room. The man holding the board walks toward you before you

reach him. He takes the trolley handle and says your name. Not as a question.

More than sixteen million international passengers came through Mumbai airport in 2025. For most of them, the airport transfer,  terminal to hotel, middle of the night was the least planned thirty minutes of the trip. We handle that half hour.

The First Hour

In the car, the Western Express Highway opens up — six lanes, almost empty, the orange sodium lights strobing across the windshield. Your chauffeur runs through what matters: fifteen minutes to Andheri, twenty to Bandra-Kurla

Complex, forty-five to South Mumbai if you are heading that far, because the Sea Link is clear at this hour and the tolls are worth it. You cross the Mithi River bridge and the city drops its daytime noise. A few BEST buses. Construction barriers near Jogeshwari where the Metro work never seems to finish.

Somewhere past Andheri your chauffeur mentions a SIM card shop near your hotel that opens at nine, names the neighbourhood you are staying in like it is a place and not just a pin on a map, and recommends a restaurant two streets over that does a proper breakfast — "not the hotel buffet, the real one."

None of this comes from a briefing sheet. It comes from years of doing this airport transfer at odd hours, reading passengers who are too tired for small talk and passengers who have questions about everything. Your first local contact in India is already sitting in the front seat, and by the time you reach the hotel you will have a list of places scribbled in your phone that no guidebook carries.

Safe Late-Night Airport Pickup

Landing alone at Delhi T3 past midnight is a situation most women have already planned for. The arrivals hall is quieter than you expected; half the duty-free shuttered, the pre-paid taxi counter down to one window, the walk from immigration feeling longer when the corridor is empty.

Your chauffeur's name, and vehicle number reached your WhatsApp hours before you landed. The vehicle has real-time GPS tracking. So when you walk out into January fog thick enough to blur the car park, you are not scanning a crowd.

You know the car and  the plate number. A verified chauffeur, at gate 5, exactly where the message said. A safe airport transfer in India; and not one part of it required you to trust a stranger.

Fleet and Pricing

Economy Sedan

Maruti Dzire or Toyota Etios is a clean sedan with a professional chauffeur service that tracks your flight from the moment you share the PNR. The driver already knows your terminal, the AC is running by the time you walk out, and you do not have to stand at an airport cab booking counter explaining where you need to go. Airport transfer rates from ₹1,200 in Delhi, ₹1,300 in Mumbai, ₹1,400 in Bangalore.

Premium MUV

When there are four of you with real luggage, the Toyota Innova Crysta makes more sense than a sedan. Two rows seat adults comfortably, and the third is fine for children or a shorter ride. Fold it down and the boot fits four large suitcases. Airport transfer from ₹1,950 in Delhi, ₹2,500 in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Hybrid

The Toyota Innova Hycross is a hybrid that runs on electric power below 40 km/h, which you actually notice on the slow stretch south from Kempegowda Airport past Yelahanka and over the Hebbal flyover — the engine is barely there. It has more legroom than the Crysta and the same 300-litre boot. Airport transfer rates from ₹2,600 in Delhi, ₹3,300 in Bangalore, ₹3,500 in Chennai.

Luxury Sedan

Mercedes-Benz E-Class or BMW 5 Series. The rear cabin has tinted windows and enough legroom to work on a laptop during the drive, and on the highway it is noticeably quieter than the other categories — enough so that a phone call from the back seat actually works. Komyut's chauffeur service for luxury airport transfers from ₹5,200 in Delhi and ₹12,000 in Bangalore and Mumbai.

What you see at booking is what gets charged. A 3 AM pickup costs the same as one at noon — there is no surge pricing based on when you land or what the weather is doing. Toll and parking charges are additional. Applicable GST is added on top of all base fares.

Corporate and Executive Transfers

Most corporate airport transfer bookings at Komyut run through one WhatsApp

thread — the travel manager shares the flight number and vehicle class, and driver details come back four hours before landing.

After drop-off, the invoice arrives with base fare, toll, parking, and applicable GST on separate

lines, same format whether the pickup was a sedan at Chennai or an Innova Crysta at Delhi T3.

Komyut operates as one vendor across all major cities, which simplifies things if your ERP or expense platform requires a consistent vendor code and invoice layout. The alternative — a handwritten airport taxi receipt with no GST number — tends to surface at reconciliation deadlines, when nobody remembers

the trip details.

When your flight lands late, Komyut's chauffeur already has the updated landing time — your flight is tracked from departure, and a revised ETA reaches your WhatsApp before you clear immigration, without any phone calls or scrambling to coordinate.

The chauffeur service defaults to quiet — no music from the dashboard unless you ask for it, no calls from the front seat, conversation only if you start it. There is enough silence on the drive to get through your inbox before the first meeting of the day.

For executive airport transfers, pricing is fixed at booking with no surge and no renegotiation at the curb, and the receipt matches the quoted amount, so your accounts team can process it the same day.

Cities We Serve

Bangalore: Kempegowda International Airport (BLR)

BLR is in Devanahalli, 35 kilometres north of Bangalore, and even with light traffic the drive into the city takes close to an hour.

Around 44 million passengers came through Kempegowda International Airport last year, with international traffic up nearly 29 percent, all of it handled at Terminal 2. The pickup zone outside T2 gives you a limited window before fines kick in, so our chauffeurs park nearby and time the walk to arrivals based on when your flight actually lands.

Airport transfer Bangalore: sedan from ₹1,400*, Innova Crysta from ₹2,500*, Mercedes E-Class from ₹12,000* — Komyut airport chauffeur service Bangalore rates.

Delhi: Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)

Close to 80 million passengers passed through Indira Gandhi International Airport last year — DEL is the ninth-busiest airport in the world and the busiest in India for international traffic.

In January you walk out of T3 into five-degree fog, and in June the heat hits before the doors close behind you. T3 international handles all overseas flights, T1 covers budget domestic carriers, and T2 has been taking overflow since it reopened in late 2025.

Each terminal has its own pickup logistics, and your chauffeur's assignment is confirmed at booking based on your airline and flight number. Airport transfer Delhi: sedan from ₹1,200*, Innova Crysta from ₹1,950*, Mercedes E-Class from ₹5,200*.

Mumbai: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM)

When you walk out of Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the humidity registers before anything else — even at 2 AM.

BOM sits inside Mumbai, not an hour outside it, and at that hour the Western Express Highway is actually moving. 55.5 million passengers came through last year, 16.3 million of them international. Our chauffeur service in Mumbai meets you at the T2 exit and has the car in the pickup zone.

Airport transfer Mumbai: sedan from ₹1,300*, Innova Crysta from ₹2,500*, Mercedes E-Class from ₹12,000*.

Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD)

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) handled over 30 million passengers last year. Airport taxi Hyderabad through Komyut: sedan from ₹2,350*, Innova Crysta from ₹3,950*, Mercedes E-Class from ₹10,000*.

The airport transfer to HITEC City via the Outer Ring Road takes about 25 minutes early in the morning and closer to an hour by evening — the airport is in Shamshabad, south of the city, and the ORR north toward Gachibowli is the standard route.

Chennai: Chennai International Airport (MAA)

Chennai International Airport (MAA) handled around 22 million passengers last year, with 3.05 million international in the first half of 2025.

There is a suburban railway station nearby and a metro connection to the terminal, though neither helps much at midnight with luggage. If your trip continues south to Pondicherry after the airport transfer, the same chauffeur handles the full ECR drive down the Coromandel Coast — about 150 kilometres of coastal road past Mahabalipuram.

Chennai airport pickup: sedan from ₹1,500*, Innova Crysta from ₹2,500*, Mercedes E-Class from ₹13,000*.

Goa: Dabolim Airport (GOI) and Manohar International Airport (Mopa)

Goa has two airports about 60 kilometres apart by road, and which one you fly into determines how your holiday starts. Dabolim Airport (GOI) sits near Vasco in South Goa — closer to Palolem, about an hour's drive. Manohar International Airport at Mopa serves North Goa and Panjim, roughly 45 minutes away.

Close to 10 million passengers passed through both airports last year, and Mopa's international operations have been expanding since it opened. Getting the airport wrong adds an hour or more to the drive, so confirm before booking the chauffeur service. Airport transfer Goa rates are available at komyut.io.

  • Send your flight number, date, headcount, and destination via WhatsApp or email -- Komyut does not operate through an airport cab booking app. The team responds with a confirmed booking that includes the chauffeur's name, vehicle details, and

    the fare for your route.

  • The airport chauffeur service fleet covers sedans -- Maruti Dzire or Toyota Etios -- the Toyota Innova Crysta for families or larger groups, the Innova Hycross hybrid for a quieter cabin, and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class for executive transfers. Availability depends on the city and date, so share your vehicle preference when booking and the team confirms what is available for your route.

  • It depends on the city, the route, and the vehicle.  GST, toll, and parking, are as per actual cost incurred. Send your airport and destination via WhatsApp for the exact fare. There is no surge pricing and no renegotiation at pickup, so the quoted figure is what you pay.

  • Your flight is tracked from departure, and the chauffeur repositions based on the actual landing time without you needing to call or send a message. However, if the flight has already landed it is compulsory in most Indian Airports for the chauffeur to park in dedicated Airport parking, you will have to bear the cost for the same.

  • The airport pickup service works for drop-offs too - same fleet, same chauffeurs. Share your departure time when booking.

  • Komyut provides Airport Transfers in all major Tier 1 cities. Our airport transfer service covers Bangalore (BLR), Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Hyderabad (HYD), Chennai (MAA), and Goa (GOI -- both Dabolim and Mopa).

  • Share both your arrival and departure flight details when booking, and the team confirms both legs with vehicle and chauffeur assignments for each. Round-trip bookings use the same fleet and pricing structure as one-way transfers.

  • Free cancellations upto 4 hours prior to the time of pick up. Anything after is 100% chargeable

  • Immigration queues at Delhi and Mumbai run twenty minutes on a quiet night. Bangalore is typically faster. After immigration, luggage belts take another ten to thirty minutes. Once you walk through the arrivals gate, there are rows of name boards. Your Komyut chauffeur holds one with your name, positioned in the first row past the main barrier, and walks you to the car from there.

  •  Indian airport security does not permit non-passengers past the arrivals gate. Your chauffeur waits immediately outside - past the barrier at Delhi T3, at the terminal exit at Mumbai T2, and in the arrivals pickup zone at Bangalore T2. You will see the name board before you reach the main exit doors.

  • Foreign nationals cannot use Aadhaar-based instant activation, so a new Indian SIM card takes anywhere from thirty minutes to a few hours at airport kiosks - and some vendors now require a local Indian reference number, which first-time visitors will not have. Your chauffeur's name and phone number are shared on WhatsApp before your flight, so use the airport Wi-Fi to message or look for your name on the board when you walk out.

  • The transfer is pre-paid - no cash needed at pickup.

  • The airport pickup service runs 24/7 across all major cities, including flights that land between midnight and 5 AM. Night charges apply for pickups between 10 PM and 6 AM, and the amount is included in the booking quote so you know the total before confirming.

  •  Every airport transfer generates a GST invoice with base fare, toll, parking, and tax itemised on separate lines, in the same format whether the pickup was at Chennai or Delhi.

  • Share your expected booking volume and the cities you need covered, and the operations team will set up the account. Corporate accounts come with a fixed point of contact and one WhatsApp thread for all bookings. Invoicing follows a standard format across all cities -- monthly statements are available if your accounts team needs them for reconciliation, and the account is typically operational within a few working days of the initial request.

  • For VIP airport transfers, the chauffeur waits with a name board at arrivals and walks the guest to the vehicle. There is an additional cost for this, please check with our team regarding your requirements.

  • Confidentiality is standard practice on every ride - chauffeurs do not discuss passenger details, routes, or schedules with anyone outside the booking.

  • Komyut coordinates simultaneous airport pickups across multiple cities for conferences, offsites, and board meetings - one operations contact, one consolidated invoice covering all cities and vehicles.
